Brother/Sister Beach Pictures

I am linking up with Kelly's Korner and sharing our favorite picture ideas.  I love love beach pictures of our kids! And I love even more that David takes such good ones for us. I have them all over our home.  It helps us to keep up with how much they have grown from year to year. Gulf Shores/Orange Beach is our favorite place to go on vacation, so seeing these pictures brings back so many happy times. It's fun every year to find cute white dresses for McKenzie and nice outfits for Matt. Usually in March, Target will put out a rack of cute, white sundresses, so every year I have been able to find something for her and usually a white linen or cotton button down and khaki shorts for him. One year I found a cute pair of khaki linen pants for Matt. Now I will admit that it is sometimes hard to get them to cooperate but after a little bribing and threatening, David manages to capture sweet moments. Some pictures that might not please me at the moment, I look back on the next year and think how sweet or look how much she or he has changed. So I am very thankful for these priceless treasures.  Here are just a few of my favorites and maybe they might give those interested a few ideas, too.

My favorite from 2012...

A few others from years past...

Upward Basketball

Matt has really enjoyed playing Upward Basketball this year.  I love watching him play because he gives it his all and you can tell he's having fun.  This Friday is our last game this year.  I can't believe it's almost over already.  Here are some pictures of Matt from this past Friday night.

He does NOT have a chew of tobacco in his mouth in this picture!  He has a habit of sticking his tongue in his cheek while he's playing

Video For Mama

Here's a birthday present for Nana - a video of her two boys singing.  This is me, Andy, and Amy Harbison singing "By His Wounds".  Someone in our church thought that Amy was our sister!  Anyway, Happy Birthday, Mom!  Enjoy!

Happy Hearts Day!

We would like to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day! The kids were supposed to be out of school today for a teacher meeting but they are making up a snow day. They were not too happy about
it! I woke up to the sweetest homemade card made by McKenzie telling me five reasons I'm a good mom. She made one for David, too. She's too sweet! Love her! I made them each a Valentines basket with a gift and their favorite candy (and some of mine, too).

A couple of Saturdays ago, David took us to Memphis for a fun day of eating and shopping. I was able to find some cute things at Target for Valentines Day. Matt wanted a neat Spiderman car and McKenzie picked out cute shoes and a tunic top for spring.

We also found some cute teacher gifts! I know I say this all the time but you can find the best stuff at Target.
We had to have these cute chalkboard painted heart mugs. It came with a piece of chalk. So cute! Loved these note pads, too.

I hope McKenzie and Matt have a good day today.Matt took his Avenger valentine cards to exchange with his friends and his class is having a special snack at the end of the day. They were very excited about me making these tonight!

Here are a few more pictures of my valentine decorations. I really don't want to take them down tomorrow. But it won't be long and the Easter stuff will be coming out.

We would also like to wish a very happy birthday to Liz aka Nana and Betty Ward. How neat to be born on Valentine's Day. Hope your day is great!
