Thursday night was McKenzie's next to last show choir concert of the year.  The theme of this show was "Disney".  They all did a great job and it's always fun to watch McKenzie having fun doing something she loves!

Basketball

Matt had his last basketball game of the season last night.  We've had so much fun this year and we hate to see it end.  We've had a great little team.  They've played well and they've just been good kids, too, which makes it even more fun.  Here's a short little video of Matt playing from last night.

Happy Hearts Day!

David and I were just saying yesterday that this has been a very long week. I think its due to the fact that we had two snow days where school was canceled and our routine was messed up. We did have a couple of great days, though. It was a nice little surprise vacation for McKenzie and Matt. I just wish they could have had some really good snow like we had a few years ago. Oh well, maybe next year. I took this picture the other night when it started snowing. It's a little dark but as you can see they were very pumped about the weather and it had just been announced that they would be out of school for the second day.

Every year we give the kids a Valentine's basket. I love doing this for them. This year we gave McKenzie a pair of Keds that she was wanting for spring along with her favorite candy. Matt wanted to add another Disney Infinity character to his game system so we gave him Dash and his favorite candy. I think they will love it! Not sure what we have planned yet, but Matt has a basketball game, so we will go somewhere nice to eat on Saturday for Valentine's Day. Can't wait!

Wordless Wednesday

Basketball

We are about half way through the Upward Basketball season.  Matt's favorite sport is basketball and he is doing really well.  His favorite NBA team is the Memphis Grizzlies and we were able to pick our team name and make us the Jr. Grizzlies.  We're really enjoying the season and wish it wouldn't be over so soon!  Here are some pictures from Matt's game tonight.

Be Mine

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. I love to put out a few things around the house and also love putting something on the front door and mailbox. I looked on Etsy for a new Valentine's wreath but they were all so expensive I just used the same Love banner I have used for a few years. It's cute! When I was at Target this past Saturday, I found the cutest movie night snack pack for Matt's teacher, Mrs. Keys for Valentine's Day. Matt picked out these NBA valentines for his class, too.  Here are a few pictures...

Here is Matt at Dr. Armstrong's office. He is doing well but we wanted to take him to get some help for a problem he started having while playing basketball. He will play for awhile then lose his breath. It happened three times this past Friday night. The exact same thing would happen to McKenzie when she played basketball a few years ago.  Dr. Armstrong calls it Exercise Induced Asthma. He gave us an inhaler for Matt to use before he plays. The inhaler worked well for McKenzie so I am hoping it does the same for him. The cold weather just makes this worse. Poor thing.  After we left the dr.'s office I texted David to meet us at McDonalds for lunch. Matt was so excited about this since he was missing a little more of his school day. After we ate our early lunch,  I took him to school. It was nice having him home with me this morning. Matt enjoyed the late start to his day as well!

GMS 7th Grade Beauty Review

This afternoon at 4:00 was McKenzie's 7th grade beauty review. She did a great job and made Top 10! Congrats, McKenzie we are so proud of you!  She had so much fun getting all dolled up for it. Jordan did her hair and makeup and a big thank you to her for doing a great job. Also, a big thanks to all of our family for coming to cheer her on. Here are a few pictures from the day...
