Very Merry!

Welcome to our home all decorated for Christmas!  I wanted to link up to Kelly's Korner's Christmas Home Tour but I'm a little late.  You can still look at all of the on time people's homes by clicking here.

I am going to start at our front door...I use two kinds of garlands, pine and an evergreen one with white lights. I did change the wreath up this year in that I had a new bow made for it. I love how it turned out! Each window has a wreath on it, too.

Entry hall chest with a few pieces of my manger scene.

David gave me this ornament for my birthday. I love this picture from our trip to the beach this summer. He is so thoughtful!

Our mantel...and someone needed Henry to sit in his stocking because he has been misbehaving under the tree. Let's just say the tree has been shaking at times!  Nick loves the tree but I can't blame him, its the closest thing to a real tree that he will see. We don't let him go out.

I used one of my garlands in the kitchen chandelier and I like the way it turned out.

McKenzie and I love Bath and Body Works pump soaps this time of year. Our favorite, Winter Candy Apple. It is divine. I put that and Vanilla Bean in our bathrooms and even got a few to give as gifts.

Lastly, I wanted something with lights by the back door since we use this door the most and it is where everyone comes. I found this pretty little tree on Walmart.com. It has berries and pinecones on it so it looks more like an outdoor tree.

Merry Christmas!   Be sure to check out all the other homes...

Christmas Card 2014

Today I am linking up with Faith and her annual Christmas Card Carousel. It is a lot of fun to look at other people's Christmas cards. Click on the link to see all the cards...

This year I went with Tiny Prints. I chose a card that we could use several pictures because I had a hard time choosing my favorite! On the back we chose a fun picture from our beach vacation back in the summer. I would have loved for it to say Happy New Year but this particular card didn't have that option.  That's ok!

I always buy my return labels from Doodlebugs Paper. She has the cutest designs at great prices. I use her stuff all year long. Her shop is listed in my favorites to see more.

It's so much fun to get cards in the mail. We all enjoy it. Then to enjoy them all season long, I hang them on our doors leading into to entry hall.  I used a wide burlap ribbon and a red velvet ribbon found at TJmaxx and then tiny clothespins to attach the cards. Very simple and easy but cute!

Here are a few more pictures that David took of the kids that didn't make the card but I love them. Great memories.

Merry Christmas!!

Visions Christmas Show

The Grenada High School show choir, Visions, had their Christmas show, "Once Upon A Christmastime", this past Thursday and Friday nights.  McKenzie's middle school show choir, The Entertainers, performed "Run, Run, Rudolph" in the show.  They did great and the whole show was wonderful!  Here are a few pictures of McKenzie's group and a few of Visions.  The redhead is loyal blog reader, Pat Sanford's granddaughter Claire, who was Mrs. Claus in the show.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We're gearing up for Christmas at the Cummings house!

Betty and Matt started things off last week making a ginger bread house.

I think they did pretty good!

Next, our elf, Henry made his return this year with a little something extra.  Looks like Betty has rubbed off on him and he's started shopping at Target, too!

Finally, McKenzie's show choir had their Christmas show Monday night.  They did a great job as usual!  I can't believe this was McKenzie's last Christmas show as a middle school student.  Yep, this child is going to be in high school next year!

Here are some pictures and a short video from her performance.
