Chef Matt

I wanted to share these cute pictures of Matt. Monday night I was in the kitchen making spaghetti and I looked into the playroom and this is what I saw. He was cooking, too! It was so precious. He was in there talking and moving the little pots around, then he put on his oven mits. I asked him what he was cooking and he said he didn't know but that it was for Daddy. This is actually McKenzie's little kitchen she use to play with but I decided to hang on to it and let Matt enjoy it.  He plays with it quite often. Some may think its girly for a boy to have a kitchen but actually I think maybe it might encourage future cooking! Ha! I know his future wife will appreciate me.

Snow!!!

We finally got a half-decent snow!  McKenzie's school has closed twice because of the threat of a snow and all we had to show for it was a pitiful little patch of snow in the yard that both kids could barely fit on at the same time.  This time there was no warning, no excited weathermen talking about the "winter storm" coming our way, and no school closings -- just SNOW!  Here are some pictures....

Happy Valentine's Weekend

David and I had a great Valentine's date today. After lunch we dropped McKenzie and Matt in Eupora with Nana and Grand, then we headed to Starkville to see the movie, Valentine's Day. It was so good. We loved it. After the movie we headed over to one of my favorite stores Tuesday Morning. Next, we went to The Lodge where David bought a MS State hat. We then headed next door to Harvey's for dinner and it was delicious. It was nice to eat in peace and enjoy ourselves. Poor David was not feeling well, but made sure we had a fun filled day. Thanks David!  The kids had fun playing with Nana and Grand and Beth and Robert.  Of course, they also went to Mr. Glenn's house to play with all of his trains and toys.

A couple of weeks ago, I put out a few Valentine's decorations. I added a few new things to the collection this year. Here are a few pictures of my Valentine's collection!

I found the cute sweetheart tray at TJ Maxx...love to find seasonal decor at this store. They always have unusual things for great prices.

The cute picture frame sits in my kitchen window. I found it at Target.

I bought the love pillow at Kirkland's a few weeks ago. I really like the fact that it looks handmade.

David sent me these beautiful roses on Friday. Being the computer guy he is, he always orders them from 1-800-flowers.com. They come FedEx and in a big box. It amazes me how they come all fresh and ready to put in my favorite vase. Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day!

We also want to wish a Happy Birthday to Nana and BettyWard!

Who Dat?!

How 'bout them Saints????  We had a lot of fun at the Cummings house watching the Saints come from behind and beat the Colts 31-17 Sunday night.  We were also happy to see Matt win the Super Bowl MVP award!
