Kendall's 3rd Birthday

Today we celebrated Kendall's 3rd birthday at Melba and Wayne's house also known as Mel and Poppa. I can't believe this little girl is 3!  It was such a cute princess party. Elizabeth and Melba always do such a great job with the decorations and food. The food was delicious and the company even better. The kids loved busting the pinata! We were even able to get the kids to sit still for some pictures.   We had such a fun afternoon visiting with everyone. Here are a few pictures from the party...

The fourth of July is coming up this next week and I have our house all decorated for the holiday. I love putting out a few things here and there.

Beach Time

We are having a great time here in Gulf Shores!  We arrived Monday. The kids have been counting down for weeks to vacation. I have been looking forward to sticking my toes in the sand and feeling the warm sun since April when life got too busy. It's always nice to get away from everything. Of course other than the beach, eating is another favorite activity. We have found some great places, too.  Last night we did our annual beach picture taking session. This year David wanted to go down the road to the Gulf State Park to take pictures. I'm so glad we did, it was beautiful down there with the sand dunes. It was a beautiful night for taking them. We were not alone. Several others had the same idea including what look like professionals shooting for a magazine. That was fun to watch. My only complaint was that it was very windy, so hair was flying everywhere. But David managed to capture some really great shots.  Here are a few of our favorites...

Father's Day Weekend

We have had such a great Father's Day weekend. David is such a great daddy, it was nice to do something for him for a change because he is always spoiling us! The kids gave him cards they had picked out for him earlier in the week. I loved seeing what they wrote to him. We also gave him a shirt for work.

Father's Day wouldn't be complete without chocolate covered strawberries. They are his favorite! The kids and I let David pick where he would like to go for supper Saturday night. He picked Memphis Barbecue Company in Horn Lake. It was so delicious! Of course we took food pics! Ha! This is a new place and the owners are bbq world champions. I believe it. The food was incredible. While waiting for our food, they brought out homemade pork rinds sprinkled with their bbq rub...so good.  David and Matt ate ribs and McKenzie and I ate grilled chicken. After eating, we went to Target for a few things. Hope your day was great, David. We love you!!!!!!
